Bill Aspinwall
Guitar and Vocals
Bill Aspinwall
Bill Aspinwall was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, and started playing at an early age when his sister brought him back a guitar from Mexico. His music interests range from rock of all persuasions to jazz, folk, blues, country, and world music. He’s been writing songs for over 25 years and was named Songwriter of the Year by the Houston Songwriter’s Association in 2005. He also took home an award for Song of the Year.
While in Houston Bill spent nearly two decades playing in bands, including the Big Lizard Band and the Hard Time Troubadours. He plays all the fretted instruments but performs mostly on acoustic and electric guitars. Bill also sings lead vocals and harmonies for the Wild Elderberries, a group he and Jack Lainson founded.
He is elated to be back home in Colorado performing his and Jack’s original material with such talented musicians.
